Summer idea #2 - Free playroom

There's nothing kids like more than a room full of balls, a slide, and a cartoon. There's nothing parents crave more than a coffee break and an uninterrupted conversation. You could get BOTH for FREE! There is a catch though. Your child must be taller than 37" and potty trained, and you must have an IKEA nearby.

IKEA provides a drop-off playroom, and on some days they even have a special entertaining or enriching activities for the kids. If your child is smaller than 37", you can still enjoy your cup of coffee with a slice of cake while she/he is watching a cartoon in the small keep-an-eye-on-me play area in the restaurant.

So, on the next rainy/cold/too hot day have a playdate in IKEA. Drop off the kids and enjoy a cup of joe... or lunch... or shopping... or a nice conversation.
